Who’s In the News?…
I haven’t had a television since 2009, so I’m not bombarded with the news on a daily basis. Sometimes I check in with what’s going on in the world at large, and I’m always curious to know what type people are, and how they share their Essence gifts with the world…
Although we are born with those gifts, our Personality always has free will, so how we choose to make use of and express those gifts is always our own choice. Although Pope Benedict was quite controversial, and I don’t agree with all of his views, we are the same type and I was curious to see how similar typological gifts were developed and expressed.
Sacred Typology is non-judgmental. It’s not about whether we like or dislike someone, or agree or disagree with their point of view. It’s about seeing underneath the external layer of Personality to see the energy of the divine spark within. By the Law of One, in Essence at the center core, there is no separation. This symbolizes unity consciousness and unconditional love. The Law of One doesn’t mean we are all one and the same, because we are each unique within Oneness. It means we are all interconnected, interrelated and unified as one big human family. Whatever we do affects others, and whatever others do affect us – we’re all in this together. There is no separation between races, cultures, religions, genders, etc.
Pope Benedict XVI
Pope Benedict XVI was born Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger, on 4/16/1927, at 8:30 a.m., in Marktl Am Inn, Bavaria, Germany. He was the 265th reigning pope of the Catholic church and the first one to resign in 600 years, at the end of February 2013.
Layer #2 reveals his Essence is Yin. In Type by Two, we can see the Yin energy in his being receptive and yielding to the wishes of Pope John Paul II to remain in his post much longer than he wished. We all have both yin and yang energy that require continual balancing, and his yang energy took the form of firm, solid and strong views, along with prolific writings.
Layer #3 reveals his Essence is also Kapha. In Type by Three, as a Kapha type, he focused his preserving nature on reforming the priorities and direction of the church. Kapha types are known for endurance, and although he’s the first pope to retire in 600 years, early in his pontificate he had predicted a short reign. In 1991 he suffered a stroke. The retirement age for bishops is 75, and he submitted his resignation as Prefect three times, but continued his post in obedience to the wishes of Pope John Paul II. Prior to his election as Pope in 2005 (at the age of 78), he had hoped to retire – on account of age-related health problems and a long-held desire to have free time to write. Now at the age of 85 he has been long-enduring and obedient to the wishes of the prior pope.

Layer #4 reveals his Being is Oxygen. In Type by Four, Oxygen/Amiable types are often referred to as a Good Buddy or supportive best friends. A frequent theme of his preaching was “Friendship with Jesus Christ” and he often emphasized that everything depends on the intimate friendship. Oxygen/Amiable types are also known for their “traditional values”, and many of the pope’s controversies stemmed from his staunch views that moved the Catholic church away from progressive values and back to traditional Catholic values and doctrine.
Layer #5 reveals his Being is also Metal. In Type by Five, Metal types often focus on their job image, role in life, and how they can make an impact in the world. According to Wikipedia, his priestly vocation was apparent from boyhood. At age five he was in a group of children who welcomed the visiting Cardinal Archbishop of Munich with flowers. Struck by the Cardinal’s distinctive garb, he later announced the very same day that he wanted to be a cardinal. He had an academic background, with a distinguished career as a university theology professor, and in the church was one of the most respected, influential and controversial figures.
Layer #6 reveals his Being is expressed as the energy of Being. In Type by Six, Being types often have a naturally dynamic social interface with focused outer intention. Layer #7 reveals his Real Personality is known as a Fa Note. In Type by Seven the energy of Fa Note types corresponds with the heart chakra, emotional center and relationships. When we read typological energy in the face, Fa Note energy often resides in the cheeks. His younger and older pictures show that he still retains that cheeky energy. As a boy, he had deep, intimate relationships with his biological family and daily prayer, which was the beginning of developing a deep, intimate relationship with God and Jesus. Later he would write in his book Jesus of Nazareth, that his main purpose was “to help foster (in the reader) the growth of a living relationship” with Jesus. Fa Note energy is also deep and expansive, and he had a gift for speaking and understanding multiple languages, owned an expansive personal library that he had moved into the Vatican, and was a prolific author. Music is food for the heart, and he loved Mozart, Bach and playing the piano. He took the name Benedict because of his love of peace, learning and literature.
