[Conscious Entertainment: Celebrity Typology]

This has been a week of grieving…
I remember the feeling of shock and dismay the morning I discovered that Robin Williams had died by suicide. As one of my favorite comedians and actors, Robin had brought hours of comic relief into my life and I immediately started grieving…
Then a day later, Lauren Bacall had a stroke and was no longer with us. My mind flashed to Robin, as I noticed a theme developing…two high-profile Kapha-Nitrogen/Analytical-So Note type celebrities had crossed over the veil this week. I had showcased both of them in the Conscious Entertainment program. This was a double-whammy…
What turned this grief-week into a triple-whammy was a personal relationship with a very dear friend who is also an Analytical/So Note type. This same week he was experiencing “The Dark Night of the Soul” as he encountered some setbacks in his life, and then judged himself as a failure. This article is dedicated to him, with my love.
Analytical energy relates with the MIND, and there’s been a lot of talk this week about MENTAL illness and what can happen when the MIND is unstable, experiencing anxiety and/or depression. The MIND of an Analytical type can be their greatest gift or their greatest curse.
Robin Williams was known for his brilliant MIND and quick-wit. He was also known for bringing JOY, happiness, laughter and smiles into the lives of others. He has been called a “Doctor of the Soul” because he loved to make people laugh, had a big heart and was very generous.
We often become a master of the things we find most difficult in life. Many comedians are masters of creating laughter as their way of turning the energy of the sadness and depression they are experiencing in their inner self.
We all have both Light and Dark/Shadows within us, and this journey called Life is about integrating and unifying both aspects. When we try to keep them separate and judge and reject the Dark as bad or wrong, and the Light as good or right we create a split and separation within that can feel like a civil war going on inside of us.
The LIGHT side of the Analytical Nature is: filled with joy, positive thinking, bright, clear, deep, reflective, studious, questioning, philosophical, patient, mild-mannered, cool and composed, non-aggressive, careful, sensitive, thoughtful, faithful, idealistic, dreamy, aesthetic, accurate, organized, diligent, thorough, diplomatic, tactful, sees the glass half-full and has high-standards.
The DARK side of the Analytical Nature is: negative thinking, slow to learn, suffers low self-respect, lacks trust in self and others, is moody, unsociable, critical, rigid, self-centered, egotistical, narrow-minded, pessimistic, impractical, sees things as black or white, good or bad, right or wrong, gets caught up in rules and “shoulds”, judges, rejects, sees the glass half-empty, and is its own worst critic, damning itself to hell for not maintaining its own high standards.
How do we stop the war within?
By not trying to keep things compartmentalized into separate boxes in our MIND. By releasing the need to hide or lie about what we identify as the dark side of our nature; by inviting these dark aspects to come out into the Light of day; by accepting these aspects of our Self (instead of judging or rejecting them); by noticing them, acknowledging them and not being afraid of them.
We empower our Self by acknowledging the dark aspects, and then transmuting them along the journey of self-mastery.

The value of inner conflict and tension is that it both triggers and fosters our spiritual growth. Within that inner tension lays choice – and the choice is always between love or fear. Making a choice for love raises our vibrational frequency, imbues us with Light and activates the Light side of our nature.
Eventually self-acceptance leads to greater self-worth, self-respect, self-compassion and self-forgiveness which leads to greater balance, centeredness and peace of MIND.
High-Standards
After being sober for 20 years, Robin Williams checked into rehab in 2006. When he got out he was asked in an interview: “What sent you back in?” His reply: “When you realize that you’re violating your standards faster than you can actually lower them, you realize it’s time to go away – it’s a big wake up call.”
Analytical types have very high standards, and especially for themselves. When they don’t live up to their own high standards they feel like a failure and have a tendency to be very hard on themselves.
Don’t Be Afraid to Fail
Self-worth is a program in our MIND. It’s a tape that runs in our MIND and a story that we tell our Self. Lack of self-worth can be reprogrammed. We can re-write that story and choose a different way of looking at things. Here are some different ways to look at whatever you may judge as a failure…
An anonymous writer once said: Don’t be afraid to fail, and don’t mistake the absence of success as not having achieved something. Achievement is built on the ability to try again (by pulling our Self up by the bootstraps).
Sometimes it’s all about failing and seeing the flaws in the plan, so that next time you do better…and sometimes it’s all about seeing the error and then trying something different.
Most of all it is about not labeling yourself as a failure just because things go against you. Sometimes the greatest blessing is not getting what you thought you wanted. It’s all in how you choose to look at it.
I love you Robin, Elizabeth
What’s your story of feeling like a failure…and then seeing the flaws in your plan and how to correct it, seeing the error and how to go about it differently, or seeing the blessing in disguise?

You have more useful info than the British had colonies preWW-I.
Thanks – I’ve referred to this article a number of times to remind myself of the light-side of the mind to focus on (whenever I’m going through difficult situations that seem dark).
